BAG LADIES GARAGE SALE
Okay, it's time to keep your New Year's resolution to clean out and get rid of some of those painting items you are never going to paint. Bluebonnet has just the place - - our March Garage Sale. You get 75% of the sale price and Bluebonnet gets 25%. It's a win-win situation. However, there are a few ground rules. ALL ITEMS MUST BE PRICED....ALL ITEMS MUST BE PRICED...and labeled with your full name ( no initials). Items that are priced but no name will be considered a donation to Bluebonnet. Nothing under 50 cents. If you have a lot of small items, put them in a baggie and mark them 50 cents. Books 50 cents unless otherwise priced and magazines 5 for $1.00—if you buy 1, 2 or 3 magazines they are still $1.00 (no small change!) Bring a "bag" lunch, we will only have drinks. Bring a "bag" or two or five for your purchases. Bring cash please, no checks for purchases under $25.00. Once you have everything gathered up bring them to the Community Center between 8 and 9 am on March 13 so they can be displayed. If you bring a tremendous amount, you can come in a arrange them, otherwise the committee will display them for you. The doors won't open for the sale until 9:30 am, so you can have coffee and donuts in the hall and visit until that time---------then--------shop til you drop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember, this is all new and we are trying to make a fun time and let you earn some money as well. Dress comfortably and bring your patience and your party mood. Check out will take some time in order to credit each person with the 75%. We will have several people helping to get you checked out as quickly as possible. We will even have an Express Line for people who only buy a few items. So plan to visit with your friends, continue shopping or look at one of the books you are purchasing. Due to the length of the sale, bookkeeping, wrap up and clean up, you will N O T receive your payment at the March meeting. We will have a check for you at the May meeting. Any items not sold need to be taken home by the donor. Anything left will be donated to the Fort Worth Chapter Wood and Book Sale. Due to the Garage Sale there won't be a place to have lunch and our meeting, which will be conducted during lunch, but the Community Center has graciously LOANED us the room across the hall for one hour. We need to stop by and thank the managers for this room and be sure to clean up around where you sit to leave the room as we found it. This is going to be great fun for all of us, so please bring lots of items, purchase lot of items and have a good time.
Scharff Brushes - A MONEY SAVING OPPORTUNITY!! The Scharff brush company has a fund raising program offering Chapter members a chance to purchase brushes at 50% off and for the Chapters to make 10% on the sales. Bluebonnet’s Board is very excited to offer you this opportunity. At the March & May general meetings, there will be a handout! “Brushes: The good, the bad, and the ugly!” to help you stretch your money and buy only the brush sizes you really need. You can order your brushes at these meetings and they will be delivered at the July meeting. This is a great chance to save a lot of money and raise a little money for the Chapter.

This year for $2.00 you can buy a hot dog with mayo, mustard, onions, relish, chili, & cheese , we will also have nachos, chips, dips, cold drinks, peach tea, raspberry tea, and of course ice cream . Please come and bring a friend for a fun day
2006 Box Lunch Auction and Ice Cream Social Along with the community service project in the morning, we had a "Box Lunch Auction and Ice Cream Social" in the afternoon. Admission to participate in the Box Lunch Auction was a painted memory box. To participate, the members painted something to put a lunch in, a favor to be included with the lunch, etc. Then prepared (or bought) a wonderful lunch that the other members bid on. There was a live auction of lunches from Bluebonnet Past Presidents, MDAs and CDAs and a silent auction of the other lunches. It was a fun and lively Ways & Means project, raised alot of money for the chapter and members went home with a wonderful piece from one of their fellow members.
The members bidding on Lunches....and the Auctioneer, who else but Diana!
