October 12-14, 2007 Glen Rose, Texas Camp Bluebonnet Mary Jo did a wonderful job of organizing the Retreat and Seminar with Golda Radar. A great time was had by all, lots of laughter, sharing and bonding. We painted some wonderful designs on scrapbook paper. We had wonderful meals catered (no cooking!) and in the evening played games and talked. Ask about the Baseball game, the team names and who won….the Pork Queens or the Shed Sisters! The Pork Queens were Sherida D’Ambra, Sharon Hermens, Diana Pfau, Connie Bartch, Janet Hughes, Diane Goodwin, Melody Mares, Golda Radar and Mary Jo Jung. The Shed Sisters were Vera Hudnall, Nancy Genetti, Barbara Gerlach, Carolyn Martchenke, Linda (Golda’s friend), Judy Liston, SuZanne Merrifield, Pat Hooper and Bonnie Riley. We played Texas Trivia—What Texas monument is 570 Feet tall? We played a game of Chicken foot dominions well into the early morning hours. The weather was beautiful, the surroundings very relaxing, the friendship and sharing wonderful and the paintings projects wonderful. Of course the door prizes were great as were all the snacks.
We are going to Glen Rose and stay at the beautiful Glen Lake Camp. We have reserved a lodge with a social area and a separate building to hold our paint classes with Golda Radar. We will eat our meals in their wonderful dining hall and of course we will have snacks for evening. This will be a fun-filled weekend of painting, socializing, games, good food and special memories. All of this for the price of $125 plus surfaces. This will include 5 meals, lodging and seminar fees. We have not finalized the projects but hope to paint one project on Saturday and a smaller one on Sunday. Golda Radar paints very fun and unique things so you don’t want to miss this chance to paint with her. Please contact Mary Jo to reserve your spot with a deposit of $60.
