We are coming up on the end of our busy calendar year of activities! We have a Board Meeting coming up this month, and next month is our final meeting of 2019. Please visit the Schedule page for information on dates/times/location.
Note that the November General Meeting is the LAST DATE that you can reserve your place at the annual Christmas Party. This is going to be a lovely event with lots of fun activities, raffles, prizes, and food! Mark your calendar and bring your checkbook to the November meeting to get signed up!
Be sure to mark your calendars for the March 2020 Seminar. More information will be posted as it becomes available. It will be a super fun and informative event!
Happy Fall, Ya'll!
Bluebonnet members - don't forget we have a Paint In tomorrow. This is a great time to bring along your unfinished projects and spend time with other painters. In addition, the chapter always has some ongoing projects for which we need assistance.
If you have State Fair items you wish Barb to take up for submission, please be sure to drop them off at the close of the Board Meeting. Be sure you bring along your paid registration as well as your pieces.
Please see the Schedule page for information on times and the location. Members are welcome to attend the Board Meeting if they choose. Typically the Paint Ins begin right after the Board Meeting lunch break.
January weather kept us from holding our January 3rd Transitional Board Meeting, but February 14th should be a bit more accommodating. Of course, you never know about Texas weather! We had 70 degrees yesterday and today we have wind chills in some places that are below freezing!
The February 14th Board Meeting is making up the Transitional Board Meeting that was weather-delayed. In addition, we will be covering the budget. Since these two items will run the meeting a bit long, we will not have a Paint In afterwards. We look forward to seeing everyone at the March General Meeting/Workshop.
At the March General Meeting, we will hand out the youth backpacks for the Society of Decorative Painting initiative. Decorated backpacks from chapters across the nation will be delivered to the SDP Conference in Wichita, Kansas and ultimately distributed to children facing relocation due to a family crisis. Information on when backpacks must be completed and returned will be handed out at the General Meeting.
